Recruiting Across Borders: Statistics Professor Brings OSU to China

The Department of Statistics is lucky to be made up of a diverse group of students. To increase our department's diversity and talent, Dr. Yuan Jiang, co-director of the statistics graduate program traveled all the way to China to recruit prospective students. Dr. Jiang visited three universities; Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, Northeastern Normal University, and Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. Dr. Jiang introduced our graduate programs to undergraduate and graduate students in these universities and encouraged them to apply to OSU. We're fortunate to have faculty such as Dr. Jiang who take great efforts to foster our department's diverse and supportive environment. We are also excited to see OSU statistics become known on an international level and hope we can continue making connections around the world.
