Get connected, mentor a student

Are you looking for a way to stay involved with the Statistics Department? Join our alumni mentoring program and connect with our current statistics and data analytics students. We assign 1:1 student-alumni pairs who will meeting once per term to discuss career aspirations, fields of study and other shared interests. This initiative aims to provide students with valuable insights, guidance and support as they navigate their academic and career paths.

Guidance for mentors

  • Respect: While students are expected to reach out first, your timely and engaged replies will help build confidence and trust.
  • Commitment: Expect to meet with your student at least once per term.
  • Openness: Let your student know you're open to honest conversation about their questions and concerns.
  • Confidentiality: Respect each other’s privacy by keeping discussions between you.
