Eleanor Feingold

Dean Eleanor Feingold is a statistical geneticist whose research focuses on the genetics of cleft lip and palate, Alzheimer’s disease, and human female reproductive processes. She uses methods from statistics, epidemiology, and bioinformatics to dissect genetic and environmental contributions to complex human phenotypes. Her educational interests include teaching professional communication and introductory data science and statistics.

Dr. Feingold held a variety of associate dean and department head positions in the School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh between 2010 and 2013. She was a Fellow of the American Council on Education in 2021-22, and spent her fellowship year at Fort Lewis College in Durango Colorado and Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva NY. She joined Oregon State University as the Dean of the College of Science in November of 2023.
